Making a Wooden Cross From rough to (hopefully) artful

My Workstation

My great uncle (by marriage) was a highly skilled woodworker, spending most of this time making violins, and tars. As a child, I always thought he had the most elaborate workshop. One day I had the opportunity to visit his workshop--it consisted of a few hand tools, a wooden stool, and a wooden shelf (this was all in a basement).

I realize good tools help, but until I am at a point where I know I will continue this path, and my skills are worthy of new tools, I'm going to stick to some very basic tools (which are cheap).
